❓ How far will you travel?
We’re based in Surrey, but we’re happy to travel anywhere in the UK and internationally.
❓ How long does it take you to set up?
It usually takes us around 45 minutes to set up, although we allow 60 minutes to ensure everything runs smoothly.
❓ What are your technical requirements?
Our minimum power requirement is 1 x 13 amp power supply.
❓ How much space do you need?
An area of approximately 4m x 3m is ideal for the trio. However, we’re used to working in smaller spaces and will adapt to what’s available.
❓ How long do you play for?
We’re very flexible. Typically, we perform two 60-minute sets or three 40-minute sets, depending on your preference.
❓ Do you play music during your breaks?
Yes! We can play a selection of party tracks through our PA system between sets, so there’s no need to hire a separate DJ. Alternatively, you’re welcome to provide your own playlist via laptop or iPod—we’ll handle the connection to our state-of-the-art 1800-watt sound system.
❓ What styles of music do you play?
We play a mixture of well-known party tracks, covering rock, funk, disco, soul, and pop.
❓ Can I choose the songs for my event?
Our setlist has been carefully refined over 16 years to ensure maximum audience enjoyment. However, we’re happy to include or exclude specific songs at your request. You can view our latest setlist here (click here).
❓ Can you play our first dance?
Yes, you can choose a song from our current setlist. If your chosen first dance song isn’t part of our set, we can play it via our iPad playlist through our sound system.
❓ How much do you charge?
Our pricing depends on travel distance, setup/finish times, and performance duration. Please contact us for a personalised quote.
❓ How do I confirm a booking?
We’ll send you a booking confirmation by email—just reply to confirm. Once it’s in writing, your booking is secured.
❓ Can I provisionally book the band?
Yes, we can hold a provisional booking for a limited time while you finalise details (e.g., venue confirmation). If we receive another enquiry for the same date, we’ll contact you first to confirm.

❓ Do you use backing tracks?
No, we are a fully live band—no backing tracks.
❓ How do I make a booking?
Simply email info@glopartyband.co.uk or call/text Angus on 07712 530094. We’ll take some details and reserve the date for you.
❓ My uncle loves singing—can he perform a song with the band?
Of course! It’s always fun when guests join us. We can send our full song list in advance so he can choose one to sing.
❓ What time will you arrive?
We’re flexible. For weddings, it often works best for us to set up after the speeches, during the room turnaround.
❓ Are you insured?
Yes, we have public liability insurance up to £1 million. We’re happy to provide a copy of our certificate to you or your venue.
❓ Do we need to feed you?
If we’re with you for several hours, we’d appreciate something to eat. We’re happy with buffet food and have no special dietary requirements.
❓ What do you wear?
We usually dress smartly for weddings and smart-casual (shirts and jeans) for parties. If you have a dress code or theme—such as black tie—just let us know. We love getting into the spirit of the event!
❓ Do you need a changing room?
Only if it’s a formal event like black tie—then we’ll need a space to change after setup.
❓ What do you do when you’re not playing?
We understand we’re not guests. When we’re not performing, we either leave the venue or stay quietly in a corner until needed.
❓ Do you charge for parking?
We’ve never had to charge for parking before. If unexpected parking charges arise, and they weren’t discussed beforehand, we’re happy to absorb them.
❓ Are there any additional costs?
No. The price we quote includes performance, setup, and pack-down—no hidden fees.
❓ What if one of you is ill?
We’ve never missed a performance. If someone is unwell, we have trusted stand-in musicians ready to step in, ensuring your event is unaffected.
❓ Can you provide a DJ service?
Yes! We can play a party playlist via our PA system. You can send us a list of tracks or share a Spotify playlist. Alternatively, bring your own device—we’ll provide the connection. If you prefer a professional DJ, we’re happy to recommend one.
❓ How loud will the band be?
We aim for a volume that creates atmosphere while remaining comfortable. If the venue has sound restrictions or you have preferences, we’re happy to adjust accordingly.
❓ How do you keep the dance floor full?
Our tried-and-tested setlist is high-energy and filled with songs people know and love. We tailor our sets to suit the audience and guarantee to get people dancing!
❓ Can I see your song list?
Yes! We can send it to you in advance. We may adjust it on the night based on the crowd’s response, but we’re always happy to discuss your preferences.

❓ How can I be sure you’ll turn up?
Once your booking is confirmed in writing, we guarantee our attendance. We’ve never missed a gig and have built a strong reputation for reliability.
❓ Don’t you get bored playing the same songs?
Not at all! We love playing live music and seeing people enjoy themselves. Performing is our passion.
❓ What will you do when you’re not playing at my event?
As mentioned earlier, we’ll either leave the venue temporarily or stay discreetly in the background—ready to go when needed.
❓ Do you have a price list?
We don’t have a standard price list because every event is unique. Please contact us to discuss your requirements, and we’ll provide a tailored quote.
